As the elected Mayor of the community, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you. Mastihari is a quiet, typically Greek, fishing village with a beautiful beach, where anyone can bathe or walk along in quiet meditation. Mastihari is filled with numerous restaurants with varied menus and is within easy travelling distance of every kind of entertainment. THE CONCEPT OF OUR SERVICE
I first visited Mastihari twelve years ago to 'house sit' for a friend who was away in the U.S.A.. I instantly fell in love with the village and its attendent qualities which epitomise the Greek way of life. Sadly, these very qualities which first attracted me to the Island are now vanishing under the onslaught of mass tourism. To preserve the delights of Mastihari, a radical approach was required, hence the concept of our service was born. This is a genuine partnership with the local community, we take great pride in ensuring the money you spend with us, goes into the local economy for the benefit of the whole community. By playing our part in the social and economic fabric of the village, Mastihari will remain unspoilt. For your part, you will experience the open arms and hearts of the villagers who are delighted that you will embrace and respect their customs, traditions and way of life. In return, they offer you the chance to share for the time you are with them, the 'magic' which is Mastihari.

I am afraid the old problem of mis-selling has arisen again !! This time even before the season has started, which in itself is a first.
I know this might be boring to our regular visitors, but believe me, it certainly ceases to be boring if it is your holiday that is ruined !! We have tried over the last few years to bring this practise to the public attention, one national Sunday newspaper 'named and shamed' the culprits two years ago, but sadly people are still obviously having their holiday ruined by this practise.
We are at our wits end as to how to stop this, as it is not only bad for the holidaymaker, it also damages the village economy and reputation. If you are thinking of visiting the village, please contact us. You will always get honest answers, as it is not in the villagers interest to mislead you in any way whatsoever. Hopefully, we can between us, eliminate this shameful practise once and for all.
Can we suggest you click onto the FIRST TIME VISITORS section on the left hand side of this page, hopefully you might find useful info here to help you avoid the perils that have befallen some people. We appreciate it is not always easy to spot a 'mis-selling company', but the Mail on Sunday have produced a list of questions which if whoever you are dealing with can meet, then the problem should be eliminated. All ability levels catered for from complete beginners through to highly talented amateurs. WEDDING ARRANGEMENT SERVICE
If you are thinking of getting married on the Island, the village offers a fully comprehensive service. We will also handle the 'paperwork' nightmare that puts many people off. We also refuse to do 'conveyor belt' weddings, therefore we restrict ourselves to about six weddings a year. We still have a couple of vacancies for 2008 and we are now starting to take bookings for 2009.

APARTMENTS FOR SALE
We are delighted to announce that we are commencing the building of four two bedroomed apartment in the village. These are situated close to the beach with sea views.
