As the elected Mayor of the community, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you. Mastihari is a quiet, typically Greek, fishing village with a beautiful beach, where anyone can bathe or walk along in quiet meditation. Mastihari is filled with numerous restaurants with varied menus and is within easy travelling distance of every kind of entertainment. We wish you a fun filled, warm and unforgettable stay in our beautiful village.

THE CONCEPT OF OUR SERVICE
I first visited Mastihari fourteen years ago to 'house sit' for a friend who was away in the U.S.A.. I instantly fell in love with the village and its attendent qualities which epitomise the Greek way of life. Sadly, these very qualities which first attracted me to the Island are now vanishing under the onslaught of mass tourism. To preserve the delights of Mastihari, a radical approach was required, hence the concept of our service was born. This is a genuine partnership with the local community, we take great pride in ensuring the money you spend with us, goes into the local economy for the benefit of the whole community. By playing our part in the social and economic fabric of the village, Mastihari will remain unspoilt. For your part, you will experience the open arms and hearts of the villagers who are delighted that you will embrace and respect their customs, traditions and way of life. In return, they offer you the chance to share for the time you are with them, the 'magic' which is Mastihari.

ARRIVING IN SEPTEMBER- HIRING A CAR ?
If you are arriving in September, please be advised that this month is going to be one of the busiest ever in the village. The number of people arriving will put a strain on the small number of hire cars available and as in every year, we have people dissapointed at not being able to get the vehicle they want on the days they want it. Our pre booking service takes care of this, the service is free and you pay when you pick the car up, however by using this service, you have the 'peace of mind' in knowing the vehicle will be available when you want it. So please, if you know you will be wanting to hire a car, contact us as soon as possible, as we think it is ESSENTIAL to pre-book.

LOW COST AIRLINE FLIGHTS!
After three years of trying to get a low cost airline to fly to Kos, the Greycat is pleased to announce that two have come along together !!!
For our visitors in the North of the Uk JET 2 will depart EVERY WEDNESDAY FROM MANCHESTER TERMINAL 1 at 09.30
For visitors in the South of the UK EASYJET will depart EVERY MONDAY, WED, THU and SAT from GATWICK
To take advantage of this service when arranging your visit to Mastihari, simply follow these instructions:

STAY IN TOUCH-FREE INTERNET ACCESS
As a new service for 2010, all our visitors will have free access to the internet during their stay. So if you need to receive or send e mails, check bank statements etc you can do so, without fuss and free of charge. If you do not have a laptop, you can even use our computer terminals. ACTIVITY HOLIDAYS
Any of our activity programmes can be incorporated into your stay with us, so if you fancy a day of 'something different', we will be pleased to tell you waht we have available. In addition to our ever popular Art/Painting classes, new for this year are
Hypnotherapy Courses for Weight Loss, Relaxtion or to stop Smoking and a 'Sing Out' course undr professional tuition, which will culminate in a concert at our new Cultural Centre.
MOUNTAIN BIKE HOLIDAYS - NEW FOR 2011
We are pleased to announce that in 2011 we will be offering Mountain Bike Holidays under expert professional supervision. These holidays are graded to cover all ability ranges from Fun Family tours, through experienced club cyclists up to Olympic hopefuls !!
The tours can be incorporated into a normal holiday stay as a 'one off day' or can be utilised into a purely exclusive mountain bike holiday. You can register your interest NOW and full details will be sent out in SEPTEMBER.
